A board-certified surgeon, Dr. Hala Omar performs general, trauma, and minimally invasive surgeries. She is especially interested in robotic, minimally invasive, and laparoscopic surgeries. Originally from Alexandria, Egypt, Dr. Omar earned her Doctor of Medicine with Academic Distinction from Weill Cornell Medicine in Qatar. She completed a General Surgery Residency with New York Presbyterian and a Trauma and Surgical Critical Care Fellowship with the University of Connecticut. “I aim to deliver the best and safest surgical care using the least invasive methods available. I believe in clear and compelling education and communication with patients to support them throughout the decision-making process. High-quality surgical care leads to swift recovery and return to productivity.” Dr. Omar enjoys diving, hiking, traveling, cooking, and spending time with her husband when she is not in the operating room.
